In the film, a young woman from East Germany lives it up to the fullest with her wealthy uncle in Berlin: she plays poker, smokes, and flirts with young men. Her governess can only watch all this helplessly. But when her uncle leaves on a long business trip, the governess takes on the role of a strict tutor and guardian tasked with keeping an eye on the girl. Still, the girl manages to evade her supervisor. She buys herself a tailcoat and, disguised as a man, plunges into Berlin’s nightlife...
