Northern Great Plains, 1719. Naru, a Comanche girl, wants more than anything to be a good hunter, but her family does not take her passion seriously. When a group of experienced hunters goes into the forest to search for a tribesman attacked by a puma, Naru, as an experienced tracker, goes with them and soon notices strange tracks. The rescue of his companion is a success, but the fight with the wild cat is not so good for Naru. Not wanting to accept the fact that her brother was recognized as the best hunter, the girl decides to track down and kill the strange predator by all means, and she does not even guess that her prey - a representative of a highly developed alien civilization, who came to Earth in search of a worthy opponent for the fight.
