Ben-Hur 4K 1959

Jerusalem, 26 AD. Two childhood friends, the Jew Ben-Hur and the Roman tribune Messala, meet again as adults after a long separation. Messala asks Ben-Hur to name the most ardent opponents of Roman rule, but Ben-Hur cannot betray his own people and refuses, which leads to conflict. Soon, Messala, taking advantage of the circumstances, decides to take revenge on his former friend and strengthen his power. On trumped-up charges, he throws Ben-Hur's mother and sister into prison and sends Ben-Hur himself to the galleys.
