Elwood P. Dowd, a man who revels in his own eloquence, is kind enough that his kindness overwhelms the lives of everyone around him. One evening, Elwood comes home and sees a big, two-foot-tall rabbit named Harvey propping up a lamppost. Invisible to everyone else, Harvey becomes his friend and follows him everywhere, greatly disturbing Elwood's family. The family believes that Elwood has gone completely insane and should be placed in an insane asylum.....
