Ace in the Hole 1951

Journalist Charles Tatum, who previously worked for a major New York newspaper, is forced to change jobs because of his drinking problem. He moves to a remote rural area, where he hopes to give his career a fresh start, but for an entire year he is unable to find a worthwhile story. One day, he learns that a man named Leo Minosa is trapped in an old Native American mine nearby and can’t get out. Charles decides this is exactly what he’s been looking for and begins to turn the story into a sensation.
