An Officer and a Gentleman 1982

Zack Mayo enrolls in a military academy that trains naval aviators. After three months of drill, he begins to understand what military discipline is all about, and his character is forged through his clashes with Sergeant Foley, who ruthlessly weeds out all the “weaklings.” At the same time, Zach falls in love with a local girl but tries to rein in his feelings so as not to tie himself down with marriage.
